Sensirion pin humidity sensor

Sensirion has introduced a new needle-based relative humidity sensor, the SHT85, that can be easily replaceable in applications. The digital humidity sensor SHT85 is a better humidity sensor in the Sensirion class and comes with a pin connector for easy integration and replacement. It is based on the long-term stable SHT3x sensor and is at the heart of Sensirion's new humidity and temperature platform. The unique package design enables better thermal coupling to the environment and separation from potential heat sources on the motherboard.

SHT85 uses a PTFE membrane for IP67 protection of sensor openings from liquids and dust and does not affect the response time of the relative humidity signal. As such, it allows for use in harsh environmental conditions, such as high exposure to dust. Product-level accuracy testing ensures optimal performance, making SHT85 a better choice for demanding applications.

Sensirion's CMOSens® technology provides the ability to implement A complete sensor system on a single chip, including a capacitive humidity sensor, a bandgap temperature sensor, analog and digital signal processing, A/d converters, corrected data memory, and a digital communication interface supporting I's 2 C fast mode. The sensor measures humidity from 0 to 100% relative humidity and temperature from -40°C to 105°C, with accuracy of ± 1.5% RH and ±0.1°C. With a wide supply voltage ranging from 2.15 V to 5.5 V, the SH585 is suitable for a variety of applications.
